Balance Yoga is a beginner friendly hatha yoga class that includes meditation, breath work, and postures.

What is Balance Yoga?

Improve your physical balance as well, balance your thoughts, breath, and emotional state. Perfect for beginners, athletes, and advanced yogis alike! Hatha yoga is typically slower paced than vinyasa yoga, and focuses on breathing while maintaining poses to enhance the stretches and connect your mind and body.

The style and pace of each class will tune to achieve balance. A great class to attend regularly in order to regulate and re-establish equilibrium on all levels of your being.

What you need to know?

Balance classes emphasize the balance of the body on the feet, hands, head, and all sides. These are beginner friendly classes! Every practitioner has differing abilities, so we often incorporate props such as blocks and bolsters to assist in improving posture.

# What to wear, what to bring

The number one thing you should be concerned with is your comfort. The number two thing is your clothing's ability to allow you breath and stretch without restricting your movement.

Most women wear leggings to class (and, honestly pretty much everywhere) as well as a supportive sports bra. If you feel more comfortable in shorts and a tank top or t-shirt, or even sweat pants, that's totally OK! 

Men tend to wear shorts or sweat pants and a t-shirt or compression shirt.

If you have your own yoga mat, please bring it with you. If you do not, we have sterilized yoga mats available for your use during your trial period.

Lastly, if you have a water bottle, bring it! Hydration is important and you'll need to replace fluids you'll definitely be sweating out.

# Pro tips

If it's your first class, show up to class a little early so you can fill out the paperwork and discuss any concerns you have before the class starts. 

Make sure to turn off or mute your mobile phone and any other electronics you brought with you. Your yoga class is your time to focus on you.
